To the person carrying the responsibility,
You may be deciding where to take the business next: growth, succession, a new market, a change in leadership, or your own place in what follows.
The visible question is rarely the whole question. A decision can affect capital, people, family relationships and a reputation built over years.
Before offering a view, I want to understand the outcome that matters, what must be protected and what can change.
Working alongside you
I bring operating experience, a founder’s perspective and an independent view. You bring the knowledge of the business, its history and the people around it. Both matter.
I will question an assumption when it needs testing, make complexity clearer and keep the work tied to a useful outcome. The decision remains yours.
Built for the longer view
Trust is earned through discretion, candour and doing what we agreed. That creates room for conversations that can be difficult to have inside the business.
Some decisions need one focused conversation. Others benefit from a longer relationship as the business, leadership and family context evolve. We agree what the work needs; we do not manufacture dependency.
What progress should show
Make the outcome measurable.
Before the work begins, we agree what matters and establish where you are now. The numbers belong to your business—not to a generic promise.
Revenue or margin
One commercial measure, with a current baseline and an agreed review date.
Founder capacity
Time currently absorbed by work or decisions that do not need to remain with you.
Operating independence
Founder-dependent decisions moved to a clear owner, with the authority to act.
These are measures, not promised results. The baseline and target are agreed with you before the work begins.
A private conversation
You do not need to send sensitive financial, family or personal details to explain why you want to speak. A short note is enough.
The first conversation is for understanding the decision, the outcome you want and whether I am the right person to work alongside you. If I am not, I will say so.
The nature of our work.
This is a personal working relationship, shaped around the decisions you face. You work directly with me, with the focus on sound judgement and practical progress rather than a conventional consulting programme.
Our work centres on business, leadership and ownership. It is distinct from therapy or life coaching, and does not include investment, tax or legal advice. Those matters belong with your appointed specialists.
We begin with a personal exchange to establish whether there is a useful fit. An introduction opens a conversation; a working relationship follows by mutual agreement.
Yours,
Aabhishek
